70-Year-Old Man Arrested for Murder that Happened Nearly 30 Years Ago
Published by Tori I. on January 28th, 2011

Robert L. “Bobby” Bostic was arrested Tuesday, accused of shooting to death Carlton Richmond nearly 30 years ago. The shooting occurred during a party on June 25, 1982 in a garage at 811 Oakwood in Round Lake Beach. The location was used as a clubhouse for the motorcycle club The Wheelmen, which both men belonged to. The club is now defunct. A few witnesses came forward regarding a discussion that may have lead to the shooting, but no charges were ever actually filed.

Bostic was arrested without incident and charged with one count of first-degree murder. The accused is now 70 years-old. He will face up to 60 years in prison if convicted. Witnesses were originally reluctant to talk about the shooting to police investigators, and the case was considered "cold" until recently.
